Nothing boosts your confidence like a bright, white, beautiful smile! Over time however, stains from things like coffee, tea, wine, cola, smoking and overall aging can dull and/or stain the colour of your teeth. Wentworth Family Dental is pleased to offer professional teeth whitening, the ultimate in whitening results, to quickly remove years of discolouration and provide you with the beautiful and white smile you have always wanted.
Your SW Calgary Choice for Teeth Whitening!
In-Office Teeth Whitening
In office teeth whitening is performed by your dentist at our clinic. Your lips and gums will first be covered, leaving only your teeth exposed. A hydrogen peroxide whitening gel will then be applied to teeth. The gel will be exposed to a special LED light that works to break up the staining and discolouration. The LED light can be adjusted during the procedure in order to minimize sensitivity if necessary and produce the degree of whitening desired. The gel is left on the teeth for about 15 minutes, and the procedure is repeated 3-4 times. The whitening gel will remove surface stains as well as internal stains from your teeth, without altering tooth structure or existing dental work in any way.
Take-Home Teeth Whitening
Professional Take-Home Teeth Whitening allows you to whiten your teeth in the privacy and convenience of your own home. At your first appointment, impressions (molds) of your teeth will be made in order to fabricate custom clear plastic trays. At your second appointment, you will try on your trays to ensure proper fit. Any adjustments will be made if necessary. We will provide you with a special whitening solution that you will put into the whitening trays at home. Depending on the degree of staining and the desired level of whitening, you will wear the trays twice daily for 30 minutes, or once a day for 60 minutes, for a couple of weeks. Your dentist will help decide the correct duration of treatment that will best suit you. You will be given care instructions for your teeth and trays, and you will be encouraged to visit your dentist regularly to help maintain a beautiful, healthy, and white smile.
